Early Morningby ~BS4711

Customization / Wallpaper / Science Fiction

I know that the bottom fog isn't that good but I only noticed it after rendering the image for an hour and didn't feel like wasting another hour when I was pleased with how the mountains and atmosphere came out.

I was going for an early morning scene in a frozen mountainous landscape. I added some stars at the very top to show how it just became daytime but not sure how well you can see them.

Terrain made in Terragen 2, everything else in CS5, and planet texture from NASA [link]

Lot to like here - overall, very good image... Just personally, I think I would have given the sky more of a gradient so that it was darker for the stars at the top. Secondly, the planet - doesn't work for me... I know it's a cliché, but I would have gone for a crescent shaped planet - I think that would have blended a little more naturally than the planet you have there.

...but that's my view! You have a great image there

I still have to play around with planets in the background for scenes on a planet to see what is good and all. But thanks for the feedback.
